Nancy
Passionate about helping others move and feel better, I founded Moor Pilates after discovering the transformative power of Pilates during my own rehabilitation from a back injury in 2003.
As an ultra runner, cyclist, and certified personal trainer and running coach, I bring a diverse set of skills to my Pilates teaching, allowing me to enhance my clients' strength, flexibility, and balance in a holistic way.
I tailor my teaching to meet the unique needs of each client, whether they’re managing a health condition, improving athletic performance, or enhancing their overall quality of life.
My belief that "if we move better, we feel better" has inspired many to reclaim active lifestyles and achieve new levels of well-being.
I particularly enjoy integrating my personal training and running expertise into Pilates sessions, helping clients achieve greater endurance and injury prevention.
Nothing brings me more joy than seeing my clients accomplish feats they once thought impossible, from completing their first 5K to regaining everyday mobility.
Joy
I am a Yorkshire lass who adores the benefits of practising Pilates.
Pilates has kept me going through stages of my life, especially through motherhood, and it’s now helping me to navigate menopause.
My journey teaching Mat Pilates started in 2004. In the mid 90s, I was a regular participant at my local gym and that’s where I fell in love with the class that no one had heard of, or knew how to pronounce.
I love nature and the countryside. You will find me walking with my 13 year old terrier, Rufus, in our beautiful Rivelin and Loxley valleys.
Swimming, pilates, yoga and cycling are also ways that help me to keep moving.
Dee
I am a passionate Pilates teacher living in Sheffield. I simply love moving with the Pilates method, which has brought me so many benefits (seriously, I could go on about it for hours!).
Having alleviated my own chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain with Pilates, I'm passionate about its potential to improve your physical and mental wellbeing. Pilates is also lots of fun! It can be hard work, for sure, but there is joy in feeling new sensations and discovering muscles that you never knew (or forgot!) you had.
In my classes, whether on equipment or the mat, I aim to create a shared and fun full-body experience with space for those personal discoveries and magical AHA! moments.
Rowanne
I am a mum and a climber, and I found Pilates after injuring my spine climbing.
Through Pilates, I saw the performance benefits of efficiency of movement and the ability to tune into the intrinsic feedback that our bodies continuously communicates with us.
Pilates helped me to break my cycle of chronic lower back and pelvic pain and freed up movements to find joy and ease in movement both on and off the climbing wall.
I love to work with people who are curious to explore movement, who want to get to know themselves better and have clear reasons why they are moving any given day.
